What are cookies?

A “cookie” is a small text file created on the user’s computer when the user accesses a particular site, with the purpose of storing and transporting information. Cookies are sent from a web server (which is the computer on which the visited website is running) to the user’s browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.) and stored on the latter’s computer; they are then re-sent to the website at the time of subsequent visits. While browsing, the user may also receive cookies from different sites on his terminal (so-called “third-party” cookies), set directly by the managers of said websites and used for the purposes and in the manner defined by them. For more information on cookies and their general functions, visit an informative website such as www.allaboutcookies.org.

• Profiling cookies: Profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while surfing the net. In the case of third-party cookies, i.e. those hosted on the www.mytdox.com site but coming from other websites such as analytical and profiling cookies such as Google or Facebook, these cookies are set directly by the owners, therefore please refer to the respective policies .
