Here we are again with our weekly appointment with TDox people who talk about digitization and their experience with the platform. Today we met Nadir Bongiovanni, Senior Software Architect of TDox who gave his opinion about the digital context in which companies are getting through and the daily challenges that he has to face with TDox.

Hello Nadir, thanks to be here. The first question we want to ask you is: How long have you been working in While True (TDox owner)? How has your experience been in the company till today?

Hello, I am working for While True for 2 years now, but it has been more than 10 years that I have been working in the IT sector. My experience has been very positive, the working environment is always stimulating with a focus on customer satisfaction and employee professional growth.

What are the daily challenges you have to face?

The main challenge is delivering fast and high-quality solutions to meet the customer’s business needs. I personally focus also on the intellectual honesty of the proposed solutions.

One of your activities in the company is offering consulting services to the clients. What are the most common requests you receive by them?

By far the most common request from customers is to automatize and standardize processes that otherwise would be manually managed, with all the chaos related to them.

According to you, what do you think about TDox? Do you think it’s a platform that companies can harness to improve their business?

Of course, TDox is a MXDP platform that helps customers on managing the scenarios I was speaking about earlier (automatization and standardization of processes), with the added bonus of allowing data collection and flows tracking.

Speaking of digital transformation, what’s your opinion about digitization in business? The 2021 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) reports that Italy is 20th in the European Union for what concerns digitization, highlighting a lack of digital competences. What do you think about it?

It is true that in Italy the digitalization of common tasks is slower than in other countries, but what I see from my daily contact with customers is that there is a strong push on this matter, even from historically “analogic” business sectors and companies. The lack of digital competences is, however, an issue that slows down all these evolutions.

From your point of view, why enterprises keep struggling to get digitized?

From what I can see, there are several issues with people involving the digital transformation of companies: lack of competences as already said, strong ties to older ways to propose and implement solutions and difficulties on decision-making for the company management. There is also a difficulty on making people in operative departments adopt new tools and new ways of work.

We know you’ve just got a SalesForce certification, so tell us about it: how was the path to get it and what does have a certificated Heroku architect in a company represent?

The path to become SalesForce partner and SalesForce certified Heroku Architect took a lot of effort. I had to face one of the newest and most mature tools on the market to manage PaaS and get the best out of it. Having such a knowledge in our company represents the ability to widen our solutions portfolio.

What are the next projects you’re working on?

As for now, I am involved in a microservices architecture machine learning project (hosted on Heroku) and an order engine and interface in a SalesForce-SAP S4 ecosystem (also hosted on Heroku) for a health care multinational company.

In conclusion, before leaving you, we ask you: if you should describe TDox in 3 words, what would they be?

Simple, useful, powerful.
